Monday is Clean Microwaves Day

I was planning on cleaning microwave #2 yesterday, and even putting together a neat little video that the kids these days enjoy so much. However, I've decided to postpone the cleaning until Monday. You'll understand why later.

It looks like our next goal is refrigerator #1. On Monday I'll have some inspiring dirty refrigerator pictures for you all. Please, try to contain your excitement.

  1. You did a good job on the microwaves - congratulations for the creative fundraising idea!

Next time try putting a bowl of vinegar water inside, let it hear for a few minutes, and it will help soften the gunk. Always soak the plates in hot soapy water, soak anything you can, soaking is your friend.

My favorite cleaning tool is a square hard plastic scraper - you can get them at Bed Bath & Beyond, sometimes at Target, usually about 99 cents. They are the putty knife equivalent that will not scratch the surface of what you are cleaning - microwave, crusty pots and pans, bathtub, whatever. If you keep this up, get one.

Also, approach the cleaning product companies, maybe even WalMart, for sponsership. You are getting some buzz, they should hop on the wave.

    Best wishes,
